Time is running out to join the Alliance on “The Journey to Extraordinary”

Registration for the 2015 Stakeholders Summit open through May 4th

 

April 29, 2015 – Registration remains open through Monday, May 4th for the Animal Agriculture Alliance’s 2015 Stakeholders Summit, themed “The Journey to Extraordinary.” The Summit, set for May 6-7, 2015 in Kansas City, MO., will explore animal agriculture’s continuous efforts to embrace new technologies that will help feed a growing population while measuring sustainability, engage consumers in innovative ways to bridge the knowledge gap, and highlight initiatives that demonstrate agriculture’s commitment to transparency.

Keynote speakers include:

  • Dennis Dimick, executive editor of National Geographic who was responsible for the 2014 “Future of Food” series
  • Brad Scott, a California dairy farmer who was featured on the reality television show Undercover Boss
  • Jeff Fromm, author of Marketing to Millennials
  • Cameron Bruett, head, corporate affairs, JBS USA & Pilgrim’s

Additionally, the event will offer panels and roundtable discussions on current issues, including:

  • Radical transparency and consumer trust, featuring Fair Oaks Farms and Cooper Farms
  • Farm security and crisis management, with speakers from the FBI’s Agri-Terrorism Unit, Hybrid Turkeys and Charleston|Orwig
  • Defining and measuring sustainability, including representatives from Nestle, U.S. Poultry and the Grocery Manufacturers Association
  • State, federal and global policy trends impacting animal agriculture
  • Fueling livestock profitability

The Summit is a one-of-a-kind conference, ideal for networking across sectors of the food chain as it is attended by a diverse group of decision makers, including representatives from farms, ranches, food processors, restaurants, grocery stores, legislators, universities and government agencies. The 2015 event, set in Kansas City, Mo., will be the first edition of the Summit held outside of the Washington, DC area.

Registration for the one-and-a-half day event is $425 for Alliance members and $475 for non-members; $375 for those in government or academia. This year, the Summit will be held at the beautiful Intercontinental Hotel in Kansas City, Mo. Our event room block at the Intercontinental is sold out, but there are many other hotels in the area that can be searched and viewed using www.hotels.com.
