Early registration discounts extended for 2017 Summit
Still time to register for potentially the largest Summit yet
April 4, 2017 – Following a record number of early registrants for the 2017 Animal Agriculture Alliance Stakeholders Summit, the Alliance announced today it has extended the discount rate through Monday, April 10. Hotel rooms are also still available at the discount rate on a very limited, first-come first-serve basis. The 2017 Summit, themed “Connect to Protect Animal Ag” will be held May 3-4 in Kansas City, Mo.
“We are thrilled to have our highest-ever number of early registrations for the 2017 Summit, especially as we celebrate our 30th anniversary,” said Kay Johnson Smith, Alliance president and CEO. “We want to have representatives of the entire ‘farm to fork’ process at the table, and our growing attendee list will help us do just that. I hope everyone who has a vested interest in connecting with others who want to protect the future of animal agriculture will take advantage of the opportunity to register at the discounted rate.”
Building off the success of the 2016 event – the most highly-attended Summit yet – the 2017 Summit will focus on how all the diverse facets of animal agriculture can connect and come together to engage with key influencers and protect the future of our industry. The “Action, Please!” theme from last year’s event will be carried through as attendees hear from thought-provoking speakers, participate in engaging discussions and leave with actionable ideas that they can immediately implement on their farms or in their businesses.
Speakers and sessions confirmed for the 2017 event include:
- Tyne Morgan, host, U.S. Farm Report, Summit moderator
- Nina Teicholz, author, The Big Fat Surprise: Why Butter, Meat and Cheese Belong in a Healthy Diet
- A consumer focus group exploring “Animal Welfare on the Restaurant Menu”
- “Extremists in the Boardroom: Handling Activist Investors” with speakers from Domino’s Pizza and CamberView Partners
- “Food History: Fact vs. Fiction” featuring registered dietitians Leah McGrath and Amber Pankonin
- A current issue update covering sustainability, public health and antibiotic use
- Discussions on engaging with media and consumers
- And many more!
