The Summit will bring together leaders from across the food chain to discuss the theme of “United We Eat: Securing Animal Agriculture’s Future”. Summit Sponsorship
The 2011 Summit is a one-and-a-half day event that will feature hard-hitting discussions about the most critical issues facing agriculture. The 16-speaker line-up includes Senator Pat Roberts, Ohio Department of Agriculture Director James Zehringer, Dr. Frank Mitloehner, a renowned agricultural air quality expert, and Dr. Frank Luntz, a highly esteemed political consultant and author, among many others. Panel discussions will focus on animal activism’s effect on the industry and innovative ways that farmers and ranchers can share their stories. Workshop Sponsorship
The Farm and Facility Security Workshop will be held immediately following the Summit on May 6. Topics will include security tips from law enforcement specialists, case studies from producers who have been targeted by activist campaigns, and media recommendations for responding to crisis situations. Individuals and companies are invited to sponsor this special opportunity for agriculture leaders to discuss ways to protect their way of life.
Silent Auction Donation
Donations to the Summit’s silent auction can include artwork, quilts, jewelry, gift baskets, gift certificates, food and wine, event tickets, or other items. The proceeds will be used to support the Alliance’s summer internship program, which provides an opportunity for college students to learn about the Alliance’s mission and helps participants build a foundation to be a future voice for agriculture.
