Animal Agriculture Alliance announces new staff member

Naajiya Williams joins the Alliance team

July 31, 2017 – The Animal Agriculture Alliance announced today the addition of a new staff member – Naajiya Williams, who fills the role of administrative assistant.

As administrative assistant, Williams is responsible for managing day-to-day office needs, coordinating logistics for meetings and providing administrative support for all Alliance staff.

“We are thrilled to have Naajiya join our small, but mighty team,” said Kay Johnson Smith, president and CEO. “She will be a great asset to help us dedicate more time to our members and mission.”

Prior to joining the Alliance, Williams worked in administration for the National Union of Hospital and Healthcare Employees in Landover, Maryland. She studied art and design at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia and is currently taking media and photography classes at Northern Virginia Community College in Alexandria, Virginia. Williams is originally from Atlanta, Georgia and moved to the D.C. area in 2013.

“I’m ready to help the team focus on its mission and reach new heights,” said Williams. “I’m not only excited to start my role with the Alliance, but to see the other side of the story and learn facts about the agriculture industry outside of the misinformation that is all too common.”
