The 2023 College Aggies Online (CAO) program had 344 individuals and 14 collegiate clubs participate, nearly double the number of individual participants from 2022 and the largest number of total participants in five years. These students represented 42 states and 63 universities. In total, $20,000 in scholarships were awarded to participating individuals and clubs.
Over the course of the program, individual participants shared more than 1,380 posts about agriculture. The clubs hosted 33 campus and community activities reaching over 10,000 people, which is up more than 400% compared to 2022.
Prior to the program, participants rated their confidence communicating about agriculture online and in person as 6.2 and 6.9 out of 10, respectively. Following the program, they rated confidence levels as 9.0 for both. Survey respondents unanimously said the weekly feedback provided by CAO mentors and Alliance staff helped them improve their skills throughout the program and would recommend the program to a friend.
