Alliance Welcomes New Staff Members
August 16, 2011 – The Animal Agriculture Alliance welcomes two new team members this month: Catharine Kuber, who will serve as Membership Services Manager, and Kerry Lynch, who will fill the role of Communications & Membership Coordinator.
“Catharine and Kerry will bring fresh talent and enthusiasm to the Alliance’s outreach efforts,” Alliance Executive Vice President Kay Johnson Smith said. “The Alliance remains committed to speaking on behalf of the entire animal agriculture industry. We look forward to developing innovative ways to better serve our members.”
Since 1987, the Alliance has worked to share accurate, science-based information about food production with consumers and the media while refuting common misconceptions about modern animal agriculture. Kuber and Lynch will assist in the Alliance’s industry and consumer outreach, as well as College Aggies Online and Adopt-a-Teacher educational programs.
Kuber, a 2011 graduate of Purdue University, has long demonstrated her passion for promoting American agriculture. Having served as the California
FFA State President from 2007-2008, she most recently completed her third summer coordinating the Washington Leadership Conference for the National
FFA Organization in Washington, D.C. She will be responsible for membership outreach and development for the Alliance.
Lynch graduated magna cum laude from North Carolina State University in May 2011 with a degree in communications. While at NC State, she served as
the director of the school’s student-run public relations firm. A Virginia native, she also has a strong connection to the agriculture industry, having worked in
various roles for the National Turkey Federation and Butterball, LLC. Lynch will assist in the implementation of the Alliance’s communications and membership development strategy.
