Arlington, VA – This Wednesday, more than 150 leaders from across the farm and food sectors will unite in Arlington, Virginia for the Animal Agriculture Alliance’s Ninth Annual Stakeholders Summit. Twenty speakers will delve into the event’s theme, “Truth, Lies, and Videotape: Is Activism Jeopardizing Our Food Security?,” including Former Department of Homeland Security Undersecretary Asa Hutchinson, whose keynote address will shed light on the far-reaching implications of activists’ attacks against food production. Presenters will also focus on current events influencing agriculture, proactive animal well-being initiatives, and using new media to reach urban consumers. The Alliance encourages those who are unable to attend the event to follow along online. A live blog of each presentation will be featured on the Alliance’s homepage beginning April 28 at 8:30 a.m. EST. Readers will have the opportunity to learn about some of the greatest challenges facing food production in an interactive format.
