Early registration and hotel discounts for Stakeholders Summit extended through April 11th

Registration on pace to exceed attendance record

April 1, 2016 – With a nod to April Fools’ Day, the Animal Agriculture Alliance announced a change in early registration and hotel discounts for the 2016 Stakeholders Summit. Due to unprecedented interest in the Summit, early registration rates have been extended through April 11th.

This year’s Summit, themed “Securing Animal Agriculture’s Future: Action, Please!”, is set for May 5-6, 2016 in Arlington, Va. The event will focus on securing a bright future for animal agriculture by finding solutions to the challenges facing the industry today. Attendees will hear from thought-provoking speakers, participate in engaging discussions and leave with actionable ideas that they can immediately implement on their farms or in their businesses.

“We are very excited by all of the interest in the 2016 Summit,” said Kay Johnson Smith, Alliance president and CEO. “We believe this year’s speaker lineup will be the best yet, and looking at the number of registered attendees so far it may be the biggest Summit ever as well. Given all of the interest in the event, we thought today was the perfect day to announce that – April Fool’s! – you still have time to register for the Summit at the early discount rate.”

Speakers and sessions for the event include:

    • Yvette D’Entremont, “The SciBabe”, who will tell her story of communicating science
    • Andrew Campbell, the Canadian dairy farmer behind the #Farm365 social media campaign
    • Tyson Redpath, senior vice president with The Russell Group, who will discuss the 2016 election
    • Jay Byrne, CEO of VFluence, offering tips on working with media
    • Panel discussions on changing the narrative around antibiotic use, consumer and supply chain engagement and responding to emerging issues
    • And many more! Visit the Summit website for the full schedule and speaker list.

The Stakeholders Summit is a one-of-a-kind conference attended by a diverse group of decision makers, including representatives from farms, ranches, food processors, allied industry, restaurants, grocery stores, legislatures, universities and government agencies.
