Individual Competition FAQs

The individual competition is a completely virtual experience focusing on how to communicate about agriculture confidently and effectively online. Students receive guidance from industry experts and farmer mentors on how to write blog posts, create viral social media posts, design eye-catching infographics and so much more. The club competition provides guidance and resources for students to host events on their campus to engage with peers about agriculture with their collegiate club or class.

No! The only requirement is to be passionate about sharing positive, factual information about animal agriculture!

College Aggies Online is more of a competition than a traditional scholarship. While other scholarship programs typically have students submit an application or essay to determine scholarship winners, College Aggies Online provides students with nine interactive and educational weeks of content. Students earn points for each activity they complete and at the end of the nine weeks, the students with the most points will be named the scholarship winners.

College students from across the country sign up to compete in College Aggies Online.

The 2020 competition kicks off on September 14. To get the most out of the experience and participate in kick-off festivities, students should sign up by September 14, 2020.

Throughout the competition, students can win mini scholarship prizes and bonus points. At the end of the competition, the students with the most points receive scholarship money. In 2019 we awarded more than $20,000 to students and clubs.

The Alliance encourages participating clubs to follow social distancing, wear face masks and use hand sanitizer at any in-person event. Participating clubs should be sure to follow any guidelines set by their universities for event sizes or required safety measures.
