2013 Kicks Off with More Anti-Meat Campaigns
January 18, 2013–The role of meat and other animal products in Americans’ diets continues to come under fire, with activist organizations’ continued efforts to push for the introduction of meatless meals in the home, in the workplace, in school cafeterias and even in state legislatures. Alliance Ends 25 Year Relationship With Bank of America
July 30, 2012 - Last month, the Animal Agriculture Alliance reached out to Bank of America with concerns about its public support of HSUS and asked the company to sever its ties to the extreme animal rights group. The bank indicated it would not discontinue its HSUS affinity card program, so the Alliance has made the decision to end its relationship with its bank of 25 years. More.

Animal Rights Extremists Ignore Science, Pressure Retailers
July 18, 2012- Managers at the Minnesota pig farm targeted this week with an "undercover" video by extremist group the Mercy for Animals (MFA) have begun an internal review to ensure that all employees continue to follow proper animal care policies. MFA is using the footage to unfairly pressure prominent retailers to reject animal care practices that are supported by the American Veterinary Medical Association. The Animal Agriculture Alliance encourages consumers to get the facts about how their food is produced - and not from organizations like MFA that seek to discredit farmers and ranchers while promoting an extreme vegan lifestyle. HSUS Continues Unfounded Assault On Farmers
July 13, 2012 - The Humane Society of the United States, an extremist animal rights group, revealed yet another bullying tactic in its arsenal used to unfairly target farmers and food producers. The organization, which spends less than 1 percent of its $100 million budget on animal care, served notice of its intent to sue 51 farms in Iowa, North Carolina, and Oklahoma, representing six major pork production companies for alleged unreported releases of ammonia. April 25, 2012 - Yesterday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) confirmed the nation's fourth case of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) in a dairy cow from central California.
