Pew Commission on Industrial Farm Animal Production (PCIFAP) and the Animal Agriculture Alliance Coalition
The Animal Agriculture Alliance Coalition was formed in the summer of 2006 to engage with the Pew Commission on Industrial Farm Animal Production (PCIFAP). The Animal Agriculture Alliance Coalition sought to work closely with the NCIFAP to ensure its members and staff had a full understanding of food animal agriculture in the U.S.
The Animal Agriculture Alliance Coalition provided numerous reports on the topics being studied by the commission and made sure they had access to the most recognized experts in each field as well as access to modern operations. As well, the coalition arranged for the NCIFAP to tour dairy farms, a poultry operation, various types of swine operations, an egg farm and a cattle feeding operation. Read more
