Adopt-A-Teacher Program
When you adopt a local teacher, they will receive a collection of agriculture materials that will help them discuss food and farm issues in the classroom. |
The Animal Agriculture Alliance (Alliance) continues its 'Adopt-A-Teacher' program first launched in 1997. Through the 'Adopt-A-Teacher' program, an individual or company can provide the teacher of their choice with a Teacher Resource Kit, a complete resource kit full of educational materials about animal agriculture. The kit enables teachers to answer many of the questions both they and their students have about animal agriculture and the animal rights vs. animal welfare issue. Now more than ever, we need to ensure there is a balanced opinion of animal agriculture. Education is key and the best place to start is in the schools. The Teacher Resource Kit includes a copy of the Alliance's Teacher Resource Guide to Farm Animal Care & Use Issues and other excellent educational resources. Here's how it works:
You send the Alliance a check for $35, along with the name and address of where to send the Teacher Resource Kit. The Alliance will ship the kit, along with a letter recognizing you as the donor, to the specified recipient. It could go to a specific teacher, administrator, department or library - you tell us. You will receive a thank-you receipt and a copy of the recognition letter that was included with your packet.
